i have micro braids and im tired of them i had a relaxer on my hair and it cut my hair so i wanna keep my hair natural .since october last year i started braiding my hair i cant really do anything wen i have microbraids and they r gettin old and annoying wat else can i do w/ my hair im not allowed to have a hair weave cuz im 14"too young" but can i leave my hair natural and style it or will it not grow ?

oh by tha im talking about african hair and my hair is short like 6 inches

I've been natural for about 3 years. The growing out process SUCKS, but it eventually gets better, and you do fall in love with your hair. You can leave you natural hair out and style it as long as you wrap it at night. Because black hair is extremely curly, it will seem as though it's not growing quickly, but because you're no longer damaging it with chemical processes, it will not break off at the rate that it did when you were relaxing it.

The hardest part about going natural is finding products that actually work for natural black hair. Find something that doesn't have alcholol in it because that dries and fries your hair. Shea butter and olive oil and castor oil have all worked for me. But it's a lot of trial and error, and different products and types of product (cream v. oil, for example) will make your hair do different things.

Also, try going to a salon that specializes in natural hair when you get a chance, and get a good trim/ shape-up. Many black stylists have been trained on using chemicals to "tame" our hair, that they don't know how to deal with it as we were born with it. A good stylist who appreciates your hair will become your best friend, and will know what products to use to help you achieve your desired look.

My favorite style when I was growing my hair is a twist-out. It's pretty simple. Just put your hair in 2-strand twists while it's wet. Then sit under a dryer. Finger separate the two strand twists. It'll make them curly, and elongate the hair without doing damage to the hair.

how to do this is get a small black headband(thin) then hold the back up into a puff kinda thing then spray lots and lots of hairspray and then hold it for a couple minutes and if it isn't puffy enough... SPRAY MORE HAIRSPRAY!!!!!

ur not too young 4 a weave. my friend is 13 and she has one. well if ur tired of the braids, i suggest you take them out. what's the point of haveing them if you don't like them. look in a magazine to find cool hairstyles for people with short hair. like "celebrity hairstyles" is a good magazine. helped me find a good haircut.

Well what I would do if I where you is take all the braids out,and keep brushing it, then wash your hair out real good and when it drys you could straiten it with a hair straitener,and ask your mom or dad if you can buy some head bands or something. Hope it works!
