Question about growing out an outdated hair style?

I have thick hair and I get a lot of compliments how thick and healthy it is but for about 20 years I have had the 80s layered look and it almost looks like a mullet before I moved I cut it myself (which was dumb I know I was trying to save money) then I had a stylist shape it before I relocated.

Now I want to grow it all out one length so it will look updated in style and professional when I go back into the work force.

What are ways to style my hair while it is growing out what is a godd shampoo conditoner and gel to use that does not cost a lot of money. I can blow dry it back but it is still a little too short to pin the layers back without looking silly or goofy.

Any suggestions?

There is no such products that will make your hair grow faster, you will only waste your money.

You can go to one of the off price salons like the hair cuttery (where I work). A hair cut is $14 and they have some good hair cutters in there.
